How to Watch Timpson vs. Tolar, UIL Conference 2A Division I Championship: Stream High School Football Live, TV Channel

A pair of first-timers in the Texas 2A Division I Championship meet on Wednesday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington as Timpson and Tolar seek a first state title.

Timpson (15-0) advanced to its first Texas 2A Division I state championship game with a semifinal victory on Thursday over Ganado. The Bears take on Tolar (14-1), which has won 12 straight games since a 37-6 loss to private-school state champion Dallas Christian on Sept. 8 and reached its first championship game with a win over Stratford in a semifinal game on Thursday. Timpson won the District 11 championship with a 6-0 record while Tolar was a perfect 6-0 in District 5 play. The Tigers' closest playoff call was their 35-23 quarterfinal win over District 11 rival Garrison. The Rattlers' tightest postseason game was also in the quarterfinals, a 42-19 victory over Marlin.

Timpson erased a 21-7 deficit to beat Ganado 35-21 on Thursday at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah. Terry Bussey's 12-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter gave the Tigers the lead. Bussey ran for 158 yards and three touchdowns while hitting 21-of-26 for 204 yards and two scores through the air. 

Tolar opened a 21-7 halftime lead en route to a 35-7 win over Stratford at Lion Stadium in Vernon on Thursday. The Rattlers piled up 264 rushing yards, with Isaac Blessing running for 100 yards and a touchdown while also throwing two TD passes in just five attempts. Garrison Nation and Peyton Brown also found the end zone on the ground while Clayton Stembridge and Matthew Behrens caught scoring passes.

Blessing has thrown for 1,754 yards and 30 touchdowns with just two interceptions while also totaling 1,168 rushing yards with 20 TDs. Nation also topped the 1,000-yard mark on the ground with 1,019 and has 17 scores. Behrens has 32 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns. JJ Garner leads Timpson with 1,313 rushing yards and 22 scores while Bussey has 1,165 yards and 17 scores on the ground and 1,785 yards with 24 touchdowns passing. Amari Bruton has 11 touchdown receptions on 49 catches for 949 yards.
